When Korbin grows up

Once Upon A Sketch
Criteria: Totally addicted                            to.....

I rotated the sketch to suit the orientation of the photo. korbin loves all superheros, but his all time favourite is spider man. He was sooo stoked when he unwrapped this book on his 5th birthday.

Once Upon A Sketch
Criteria: Lesson learnt

At just 3years old Rheon decided he didn't want his baby wheels any more so, I took them off. He learnt how to ride within a few days. We brought him a brand new 'proper bike', but alas as all younger siblings do, he wanted to conquer his older brothers bike :). Rheons lesson learnt: to ride on two wheels, Korbins lesson to learn: younger siblings will always take his stuff.

Criteria: Chipboard

Beleive it or not, but korbin is actually hanging upside down on the couch (although i think the pic looked better fliped). the gate and title are chipboard, as well as the disc behind the vampire boy. i drew, colured, then cut and paste the tree and vampire boy on the layout. i grunged the background up a bit with inks and mists.

The colour palate of the image is what inspired me the most. the greens, the wood and the kooky hut instantly made me think of the chook house and the fairy story chicken licken. my boy love feeding the girls and collecting the eggs, a special task indeed.

Head shot & bling

Jacko & Rheon on Rheons 1st birthday. i have put some bling on the larger hot air balloon and used wooden tiles for the title. the background is scraps of paper (inspired by the squares of the fountain head) with an overlay of paint.

lost in space

Tape + Play

So here it is, lashings of masking tape and tim holts tape in the back ground. i dont use tape generally unless its for the obvious, so this challenge was a tad challenging.

Korbin is playing with his fav toy and an old box. i was thrilled to see him using his imagination, so needless to say when the photos were taken jacko and i joined in towing and sliding him around the house.

Show Us Your Stuff:
Teal and cream

I have layed a mask over teal pp, then painted over it with cream paint. the chipboard was originally maroon (which i did paint with a crackle medium that did not work), so i painted over it with the same cream paint then sanded it back to revel the underlying colour. my hand made item(s) is the pink flowers made with a star punch and bling.

This pic is my first and only trip home thus far since moving to aus 6years ago.
