lost in space

SCRAP THE BOYS:
Tape + Play

So here it is, lashings of masking tape and tim holts tape in the back ground. i dont use tape generally unless its for the obvious, so this challenge was a tad challenging.

Korbin is playing with his fav toy and an old box. i was thrilled to see him using his imagination, so needless to say when the photos were taken jacko and i joined in towing and sliding him around the house.

Show Us Your Stuff:
Teal and cream

I have layed a mask over teal pp, then painted over it with cream paint. the chipboard was originally maroon (which i did paint with a crackle medium that did not work), so i painted over it with the same cream paint then sanded it back to revel the underlying colour. my hand made item(s) is the pink flowers made with a star punch and bling.

This pic is my first and only trip home thus far since moving to aus 6years ago.

who woulda thought the boy was sick

Punky Scraps:
Get inspired by an image

So the image was a grid of tapes, instantly i thought 80's! all my photos of the 80s are packed away so, i used my son instead. i used checked paper and straight edges as per the grid and of course lashings of tapes.

Rheon has his first ever man cold! he had a runny nose, could bearly breath and had lack of sleep. true to the photo one would never had guessed him under the weather.

White With One:
Red and Circles

First ever white with one and what a challenge it was, but i am sure it wont take long to wrap my head around using mainly white.

A very grubby but happy rheon proudly shows of his new tooth.

my wee bits of sunshine

Bird is the Word:
Sun/Sunshine

i am rather stoked with this pic. initially it was a first time practice with t-shirt iron on transfer paper, i then ironed the transfer on to fabric (i of course  manipulated the photo in photoshop, and an absolute coincidence of colour choice).

i love this photo because my boys are rolling around on the grass playing. korbin is laughing his head of and rheon is blowing raspberries.

trains trucks cars

Scrap The Boys:
Scrap a collection

For a 2 year old Korbin has an extensive collection of wheels. cars, trucks, trains, he loves them all equally.

i thought it only fit to have him take the photos himself and i scrap them. these were the toys he picked and photos he took with little to no help from his ma.

i have tried to give the page a 'garage' feel to it, using bits one may find in a tool box, or on the ground of a mechanics shed.

We had a family day at seaworld, rheon was all of two weeks old and korbin became a groupie for the fisrt time with the sesame st show. needless to say he he watches the tv show offten.

bizzy buzzy bee

Scrap The Boys challenge:
be inspired by the clothing in the photo

So obviously i used the many blues Korbin is wearing, i also took inspiration from the stripes on his sweatshirt and beanie as well as the massive splatters of mud on his bum and legs.

My first son korbin loves a rainy day, he will play as it pours down and continues even when it stops, i am foreva changing him in to warm clothing, but how can i not let him play when he LOVES it SO much.

Rheon laughing and chating away to himself or the baby he thinks is across the ways, either way it certainly did make my day
